Late ‘Til Eight, Oct. 18, 2019
October 18, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us Friday, October 18, 2019, in Jackson Square for our monthly “Late ‘Til Eight” event!
Our October Late till 8 will be a night of classical music in the Square. We have partnered with the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association for our October event. We will be helping them raise funds for their future endeavors and they in turn are providing the musicians for our shops. You may find a woodwind quartet, strings, choral or any combination in our shops. You may even find a larger group performing outside weather permitting. Our theme will be based on one of their musical pieces they are performing to celebrate 75 years of music and Oak Ridge called” Dr. Atomic.” The piece is based loosely off Robert J. Oppenheimer. Come dressed to the nines in 1940’s style or as a famous person from the Manhattan project era or as you are! We will have activities based on the project and music.
Guests are asked to check in at our welcome booth and pick up a passport to take with them to each shop. Get your passport stamped at each shop, and you’ll be entered in for prizes. Participating shops and their musicians will be released the week before the event week. So check back or like our Facebook page Jackson Square Oak Ridge to get the latest.
Visit our vendors/ food trucks and enjoy the Square.
If you are interested in being a vendor, please note that for our October event ONLY we are asking all our vendors to make a small monetary contribution to ORCMA. Make sure you fill out our application here: http://bit.ly/jacksonsquarevend
